First Place winner of the Narrative Imperative jam!

You're just a Yeoman sorting paperwork for the military submarine Sea Snail. It's a top-secret mission where the crew must retrieve a lost Deep Sea Vehicle from the depths of the ocean. All you need to worry about is sorting through all of the paperwork and keeping it in order.

Or so you thought.

Suddenly, you and the rest of the crew are swept up in a murder mystery as you try to figure out who among you can be trusted and who has some more sinister intentions for the survivors aboard the vessel.

As the Yeoman, it's important to know who's who when it comes to the sub's operations. This is even more vital when attempting to figure out who among them could be a cold-blooded killer.

Captain Francis Magellan - The skipper of the Sea Snail. A veteran sailor who has experienced his fair share of conflict. However, this has made him paranoid, ready to shoot at the first sign of trouble.

Nuclear Engineer Elina Curie - The brains of the Sea Snail. A cold and composed individual who prefers machines to people.  She holds most people in contempt, believing herself to be the smartest in the room.

Culinary Specialist Jimmy McDonald - The Sea Snail's chef. A cheerful goofball who knows how to make a joke in any situation. He's always eager to give a cheeky quip, even if the timing is not entirely appropriate.

Margot Blavatsky - The Sea Snail's Russian expert. A civilian that was brought on board for her first mission. A quiet and withdrawn individual, she fears not fitting in with the rest of the crew. But there may be more to her than meets the eye...

A fun (albeit slightly easy) underwater mystery story, with an interesting twist!

Good use of visual effects and SFX, sprite expressions with blinking, character voice blips, some CGs, and an original soundtrack.

I enjoyed the gameplay aspect, with a mix of progressively unlocked discussion topics and choices the MC makes deciding which of 5(!) different endings you receive.

One minor quip is that the audio volume sliders are all too loud initially — max volume on launch is not a good thing.  I want to say 70% of max volume might be a decent starting point?

Very well done for a 2.5 week game jam!  Congrats on the win! 🎉

Very sick game!! Major props. I really liked how much impact MC's words had on how everyone responded to the situation. (I'm also in the game jam, so it was especially cool to see what you guys were up to)

Thanks. Good luck to you in the jam

Hi there, I am DragonExplosion and I am a Youtuber. If you like my videos, please leave a like and subscribe at my channel.

This was a fun horror mystery game about finding who is the real murderer behind the tragic event that occurred on the submarine. I enjoyed playing the game as I enjoy murder mysteries. I actually knew the killer the moment he introduced himself as there were already a lot of evidence pointing at him at the start of the game for me. It would be cool if there was a button that allows the player to quickly pick out the murderer as I had to talk to other people for a long time before being able to point out the murderer. I liked the story and had lots of fun playing the game especially since I watched the anime, The File of Young Kindaichi.

Thank you for reading my comment and I wish you good luck in your future endeavours.

Thank you for playing and for your feedback! I see we made the mystery a little too easy for you, but I'm glad you had fun anyway.

Best of luck to you and your channel!
